Phone In Radio Interviews

May 20, 200813 Comments

Brothers and sisters next time you hear one of those really chipper, bouncy interviews with your favorite artist on your local radio morning show, just remember, from 5am to about 7am, we look like this…no matter how light and fluffy we may sound. Who in the world gets up this early on purpose?!?

Unfortunately, I do get up this early every weekday morning. Only because I have to be at work at 5:30am. Being that I am not a morning person and I have to get up at 4:00am, I have a look on my face each morning that looks very similair to the one you’re sporting in this pic.

Just know we all love you guys for getting up early and making these calls for your fans.

Help me understand something… Why do the radio stations feel the need to do 5:00am morning interviews? I don’t get it. What’s wrong with 10:00am??? Right?? Those morning people are just nuts! He He…

I know what its like waking up that early to talk to fans and radio show people….ok…not really, but I’m sure it can’t be easy..

Lisa, it really has to do with time zones, and with most radio being totally automated, there are few timeslots where you can fit something like this in. The Klove morning crew goes on the air at 5:00 am so they can be on at 6:00 in the east time zone. Same thing with Air 1, except they are on even earlier being in California…

    Bart,
I heard you this morning on WMUZ with Jon and Shannyn. Thank you very much for getting up and interviewing. I look forward to the times when you visit us up in the Detroit area…even if by phone. The stories about by 100% Boy-sons and 100% Girl-daughter was awesome. It’s great to have the opportunity to hear some of my favorite ROCK STARS be human. So thank you for being ‘chipper’ if not even humerous.

…and besides, I would have never known you had a blog…or a finger nail polish problem(take Jon’s advise, polish remover is awesome) or the story about Steven Curtis Chapman have 40 songs laying around! Thank you and we’ll be praying for you and the whole band!

God bless you and your precious Rangers!

Hey why cant you do the interview later and just have the radio station record it and play it early in the morning!! problem solved… be strong Bart hang in there — i heard you giys during GMA week on the JOY FM LOVED IT!!!!!!!

  8. I’m with you, Bart.
I’d have to come up with some sort of pre-recorded Ferris Bueller kind of device to cover for me that early in the morning!
I’m sure you sounded very chipper and bouncy though.

  10. i know you’re pain.

  11. I get up that early on purpose -lol-. I love waking up to a brand new day and watching the sunrise from my apartment patio. It’s the only thing that keeps me going, knowing that His love flows through me like a river and washes away my sins through our Savior. Thank you for your very touching music.
