Day Off In Baltimore

August 8, 200810 Comments

So today is our day off in Baltimore, and while walking to the downtown harbor, we noticed people in line for an anime convention. Sounds like a perfect photo op. Ninjas rule!

Ok so I understand saying a little prayer for your favorite team, but now the bar has been officially raised! The Orioles are officially off my prayer list. Kidding of course. GO RANGERS!

  1. What are you guys doing in B-more? Are you gonna be at the ball game? Can you help us move my son into his new place tonight?

Baltimore. I love Baltimore. My Grandparents lived in Maryland and we’d go to see the games as kids.

I thought you were a Cubs fan anyway, O Bartholemew?

  3. My DH will get a kick out of that prayer request! Total die hard Rangers fan. Will you guys be singing at anymore Rangers games this year?

Oh, and about the ninja picture: nice way to minister and break the ice with that kind of crowd!

Just out of curiosity, does anybody know what anime it was?

I like Samurai warriors better (cuz there was one in my family) I also read the manga Rurouni Kenshin which is also an anime and the main character is a former samurai.
(NOTE: I AM NOT RECOMMENDING THAT YOU READ THIS MANGA)

That crowd is often the hardest to reach- They are the ones who would NEVER darken the door of a church. I know a lot of people like that at my school. I’ve been working to reach out to those people a lot in the past year- It’s funny, they are a lot more accepting and nice than other groups. They won’t gossip behind your back and they don’t care about your outward appearance. They are nicer than even most Christians- does anyone else see a problem with that besides me? Jesus wants us to love EVERYONE- not just the people who are in your little group of friends. Often i think that the reason these people are so closed to Christianity is because they think that they won’t accept them… and how often are they right about that?

    Are they Ninjas from Naruto?

  9. Nice shorts, Bart. I overheard some girls in the fabric store the other day, and I knew they were speaking english, I just didn’t understand a word they were saying. Using my amazing skills of obeservation and listening, I put all the clues together and figured out they were buying fabric to make a costume to go to some convention. Gaming maybe? Did the ninjas speak “english”, and I’m curious, did they know who you were? Surely they’ve heard of CTGB!
