My heart is with you all as you seek and find healing through the Lord. Following the death of my son in 2003, the message in CCM (including a # of your songs) provided much comfort and healing. I wrote a book about how the Lord so faithfully reminded me of His love. Now, when I am struggling, friends remind me to reflect on and remember what I have written.
So, now I would like to remind you of a few of the incredible messages that you have shared with us thru your music, that you may find comfort and healing & that you may share these messages with the families:
“Here with Me”- Surrender to His love, He is always with you; feel His presence and get lot in His beauty.
“Homesick” – We don’t understand, but Christ gives us strength to make it through somehow.
“I can only imagine” – Our faith is built on the imagery of the day we meet Jesus face to face – when we will be surrounded by His glory – we can only imagine the glorious welcome into Heaven that these young people received from the Lord.
“Keep Singing” – We will keep singing in the memory of love; the Lord is everything we need, just keep praising His name and He sings over us.
“The Love of God” – His love for us is far greater than anything we could ever fathom; “Word of God Speak” – So often the noise of our sorrow drowns out the voice of the Lord; be still and listen for His voice; and you will know that He is with you – in the quiet you will hear His voice.
Thank you for these messages and many more that you provided in my time of need. I pray that you find comfort and peace as you help the families of the tragedy find hope through Christ.
Only by His Love,
Judy Marquette from PA
I am really sorry to hear the lone survivor has passed away. God always has a purpose for us and a time to be born and a time to die. We will never understand why some are taken so young or too soon, but God knows. We were never promised tomorrow. Times short and we all need to get right with him. It can come in a blink of an eye. I continue to pray for those involved in the crash, the family members, and the group, and those who continue to not know jesus christ as the own personal savior. all it takes is a simple prayer to ask him in your heart. “Jesus I know I have made mistakes, and the bible says if you ask for forgivess you shall receive. So I come before you and ask you to cleanse me and make me new. I receive your healing and I ask you to come into my heart and make me whole again.” It’s that easy. I believe God was watching over everyone, and the proof is in the picture. I saw the two angels and one of them had the baby as she smiled to take her to heaven. I too was saddened from this event as I heard it on the scanners at work and all I know is God will heal everyone involved and all those it has impacted.
I heard about the passing of Kara yesterday when a friend of hers posted it on here, but all of our comments in relation were deleted, probably because there was no news confirmation of it yet. I am deeply saddened by this news. I have and will continue to pray unceasingly for everyone and their families. Those that know the familes, if there is a fund set up, or a place where cards, etc can be sent, please let us know! Praying for you! MercyMe…as you go back to Indiana tonight, I pray for strength and for the Holy Spirit to move in you guys tonight, even more so then normal. I know you are going to have alot of new people there who haven’t heard of you before, because of the accident, and my prayer is that every one of them is touched and spoken to tonight! Praying for you and love you guys!
Hi guys,
My family and I are very sorry to hear of this great tragedy. We are all praying for the families of the victims and most assuredly praying for all of you. As we all know, there are reasons for everything that happens although at the time we do not understand. God will take this accident and bring something good out of it. We love you and we appreciate all that you all do for the kingdom of God. We love you brothers. God bless. Kaylena
It is so sad.
I am related to one of the girls that died( Barbara Schmucher.)
(I think thats how you spell it)
I did not know her, but it is so very very sad.
Praying for everyone involved.
My fiance’ and I are praying for you and the family of those involved. We love you guys and are so thankful for the ministry you do!
Our Heavenly Father, I come before you today with a great sadness and terrible burden on my heart. I ask for your loving arms to wrap around the families of the angels that were lost in this tragic accident and to also lift up the members of Mercy Me as they too have a life time of tragedy to endure. Father we know you are in control and you will glorify from this and you will lift each and every one up to seek you, your love and your guidance. In your Sons Holy and precious Name… Diane from Chino Valley, Arizona.
Why do tragic things happen to good people? Why do the innocent suffer? There are so many questions at a time like this, and any answers, however correct they may be; don’t seem to be enough for the pain. When we try to answer the “Why God” questions, we may get it right, we might not. But I feel very deeply that God is indeed in control, and there are without doubts or confusion, real reasons. Only The Lord knows the Histories and the Futures of us all. These precious souls who have passed from this life to the next are indeed in His Hands. When we do stand before Our Lord and Saviour, no one will shake their fist and say “God, how could you let this happen?” For “The ways of the Lord are right, and all His works are done in truth.” We can’t understand many things now, but in that day, we will see, and we will understand that in God’s Eternal plans; there is indeed a reason.
I am very sorry for this tragic story that has occured. My heart goes out to the families of the people who lost their lives especially the expectant mother and child. As far as she was in her pregnancy what a tragedy for this to happen. I know she and baby will be angels for their family along with the others. I pray that you Mercy Me will continue to sing praise even though your hearts are weighing so much. I hope God will give you’ll courage and peace and know that the music you do helps so many others in situations just like this. God bless all the broken hearts involved may they continue to beat and lift.
The Lord will take this most aweful event and make it beautiful somehow. Praying that the families to “hold on”.
All involved in this tragedy have been lifted to Him in prayer this evening. You in one of the best bands in Christian music will persevere and will, without a doubt in my mind, will use this experience and the souls of all involved in future music.
We are not to question His plans but we do need to remember that He is in control and His love will never end.
May you be blessed in all you do
There is a reason….God always has a reason for the things that he does. I want to tell you how sorry I am, and that I am praying for everyone in the band and their families. I am also praying for the families of the people who died in the accident. God holds all the cards, he knows all the answers. Only God can see the big picture. We can only see a part of his plan. I believe that he had a reason for this accident. Maybe it was to draw you closer as a band, or maybe to give you a break to go home and be with your families. Your music is a great gift, the writing, the playing, the singing. I believe that the band draws people closer to Christ. To God. I will keep praying for you, and all of you keep praying that He will show you the reason behind this tragedy. Things will get better……
Mary
May the lord be with you and the families of the victims!!!
Oh Father, my heart just weeps for the Klinker Family and friends, as it does for Dario and Barbara’s. Lord I know this didn’t catch You off guard and You even tell us that ‘Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His’. You were with them when they took their last breath and we thank you for comforting them.
Now Lord, their friends and families desperately need comforting that can only come from their loving ‘heavenly Daddy’. Please Father God minister to them as only You can. In time, bring comfort, healing, mercy and Your peace to their hearts.
Thank You Lord for those You are using to reach out. I think of the co-workers of Dario’s Dad. Thank You for Daniel who posted from the Middle East to ask for help/ prayer for his friend’s family. Lord please give the workers an extra measure of grace and protection as they do their jobs with the great sadness of their friend on their hearts.
I also thank you for Janet, Susan, Amber and Brandi and the others whom You are and will use. Please Lord minister to these people as well, for their hearts weep too.
We know that is is true that You will use this…. please Father, please remember that we are but flesh and blood … Jesus wept even though He knew He was about to raise Lazerus.
The Klinkers, Boutes, Schmuckers, MercyMe, their bus driver, Miss Doris’ and everyone who has been touched, no matter how: are all flesh and blood and are hurting. I beg You on their behalf for the comfort that Only you can bring.
I pray in Jesus most precious Name, thank you, Amen
You all have my Prayer. I could not be at your concert tonight at the Indiana State Fair. Friends and family were there. I know this was a hard show for you to do. Please know that you are lover and prayed for.
Thank you all for your devotion to God.
i was at world pulse fest when we heard we prayed for everyone
I cried this morning when I heard it on our Christian Rock station WFHM 95.5 The Fish. I cannot fathom the pain that the families are experiencing since the driver has passed away; but she is now with her baby in Heaven. Although I don’t understand tragedies such as these, I trust that God will carry everyone through the pain and anguish. I pray for all of you and know that God will also get you through this. May He shine on all of you and your families. And thank you for what you do – sharing God’s message with the world – what a true gift to share!
So sad to hear that Kara passed away last night. I can’t even imagine how these families feel and I know the band has suffered as well.
Trust that God will show all involved His great plan. I’m sincerely sorry for your loss.
Praying!
Father, I lift up my brothers to you. As the Creator of all things, including emotions and feelings, you are able to see the needs of the hearts of these amazing gentlemen and the needs of the families who have lost their loved ones. God, while we can not fathom the agony that they are feeling right now, I pray that you are able to make this bad time in each of their lives glorious for your name’s sake. God, be the Comforter and perfect Father for them. Give them strength to trust you and to love you through this. Hold the grieving families tightly in your hands. Amen
My church and I are all praying for you all and the victims families. Tragedy like this doesn’t seem of God at all, but things do happen for a reason and He is in CONTROL. Please keep your heads up and praying to God for strenght. Our pastor says that satan is trying so hard to split up and destroy
God’s workers. But we all know satan is gonna be the loser, not us. Love you all. Keep up the great music, don’t let satan get you down.
MY HEART GOES OUT TO ALL THAT WERE IN THIS ACCIDENT.MAY GOD COMFORT THE FAMILIES THAT LOST THEIR LOVED ONE..

God works in ways which we don’t always understand. I will be praying for you and the families of all involved. Keep the faith…
i was sorry to hear about the accident and thank god MM is okay. But my heart was saddened when i heard about the people in the other car. My heart goes out to the teenage driver who was 35 wks. pregnant and lost her baby. God does work in mysterious ways and i know there was a reason why he took those lives up to heaven with him. I believe the driver’s name was Kara, and i hope somehow you see this. As a mother of two i couldnt imagine going trough what you are going through, i know that if i didnt have God in my life i probably couldnt handle it, but God is the best comfort a person could have and he will carry you through this if you need him to. I also have nieces and nephews and about six years ago my sister lost her second child at 20 wks due to complications in the pregnancy. He lived for four hours. That was a very hard time for her and her husband and also the rest of our family. I had many feelings and I did not understand why it had to happen to us. But I decided better us as a family that has been brought up to know that God has a plan for everything and for some reason he wanted my nephew. inside the pamphlet handed out at his funeral is a very heartfelt poem and it says this: Little Angels When God calls little children to dwell with him above, We mortals sometimes question the wisdom of his love. For no heartache compares with the death of one small child who does so much to make our world seem wonderful and mild. Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to his fold, so he picks a rosebud before it can grow old. God knows how much we need them, and so he takes but few to make the land of Heaven more beautiful to view. Believing this is difficult still somehow we must try, The saddest word mankind knows is “goodbye”. So when a little child departs, we who are left behind must realize God loves children, Angels are hard to find.
That is so sad!
~The family and friends of the victims of the accident are setting up a candle light vigil Saturday August 15,2009 @ 1am, a week after the accident. This will be held at the corner of Lima and Coliseum Roads at Hall’s where the accident happened. Please join us as we remember those who lost their lives. We will also be accepting donations at this candle light service to help out the families.
~A note for those who would like to help out, there is an account set up at Fort Financial Credit Union in Ft. Wayne to assist the family of Barbara Schmucker.

Praying for all of you; families and friends of the young people and the unborn child as well as everyone in the MercyMe family. Jesus said that wherever we gather in prayer He will be there. We are gathered here on this blog and He hears our every word. Nothing happens without His knowledge, be comforted by his word and know that great blessings will rise out the these ashes.
I just wanted to say let God get you through this time. He will be your strength. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason. This will glorify God somehow.
I am praying for peace and comfort for you and for the family of the other vehicle.
Prayed for the family and for you guys as soon as I heard.
It is the will of God that you be in the families lives for a reason….maybe that the families need God in their lives…even though it was tragic God always has a reason or plan. Will keep you and the families in prayer may God richly bless your lives and ministry.
Praying for all that is hurting
Praying for the strength and comfort of Jesus to reach everyone involved
MercyMe and the families involved in this,
I know it must’ve been scary when this happened.
When they said what happened on Klove, at first I didn’t really understand..And most of all, I didn’t want to believe it.
I cried once I heard the news.
Going through death isn’t easy..
We all know God does everything for a reason..
Let’s just continue praying for them.
~My prayers are going towards MercyMe and everyone involved, from Illinois~

Your band has meant more to my spiritual journey to find Jesus that all the others. I am so saddened for the all involved. You have given me so much and all I can only offer you my prayers. I have prayed daily since hearing about the accident. May Jesus hold you and the the families in pain near to his heart.

So sorry to hear about the accident. I know this must be a very difficult time for the victims and their families as well as yourselves and your own bunch.
Please know that my prayers are with you all as you go through this valley. Try to rejoice in the little victories as you walk through this new journey knowing that God will no doubt use it to speak to you and help you to write new, encouraging songs for people who are also journeying through the unknown right now.
Lifting you up.
“For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord. Plans for good not for evil. To give you a life, a future and a hope”.
He works together “all things” for the good of those who love Him. Just a little reminder . . . in case you needed one today.
