So Precious….
Im a dad of 3 years now, but nothing can explain the new love you find when another child comes into your life. We are one of those couples that waited to know the sex of the baby until birth. Weird yes, but the look on my wife’s face when I told her it was a girl was something I will never forget. I would wait 9 more months of not knowing to see that again. God has blessed us in so many ways. Im amazed when I look at myself… how filthy and sinful I am and then look at this beautiful innocent baby girl that God has entrusted to us to bring up to know HIM. Its the perfect example of grace and mercy. Thank you Jesus for saving us despite who we are, but because of who YOU are. Look out world, Stella Renee is coming for you!

Bed Head

December 4, 200810 Comments

So I get asked quite frequently about my hair. “How do you get it to do that?” some ask. Others say “does it take a long time? Or some just give me the old stand by “Cool hair Dude!” Whatever the question is, my normal reply is “Bed Head”. Now by that, I dont mean, the way I wake up in the morning. It is the company by TiGi that makes hair products. We have a great friend that works for them in their marketing and media relations department and she hooks us up with free product whenever we run low. That is how we get such outstanding shine and look to our hair. Especially Barry and Mike. I would like to take this time on behalf of Mike and Barry to thank the folks at TiGi / Bed Head for their continued support to the Band even though they no longer need the products. HAHA

The picture posted above is a shot of their warehouse. Its amazing to walk into a room that big and it smell so amazing. The whole warehouse smells like shampoo, conditioner, lotion and gel. So to all those kids that would like to have a mo-hawk for christmas, just have mom and dad buy you some Bed Head Mo-hawk gel and you will be ready to go.

A Little History…

November 29, 20085 Comments

By the President of the United States of America.
A Proclamation.

The year that is drawing towards its close, has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added, which are of so extraordinary a nature, that they cannot fail to penetrate and soften even the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever watchful providence of Almighty God. In the midst of a civil war of unequaled magnitude and severity, which has sometimes seemed to foreign States to invite and to provoke their aggression, peace has been preserved with all nations, order has been maintained, the laws have been respected and obeyed, and harmony has prevailed everywhere except in the theatre of military conflict; while that theatre has been greatly contracted by the advancing armies and navies of the Union. Needful diversions of wealth and of strength from the fields of peaceful industry to the national defense, have not arrested the plough, the shuttle or the ship; the axe has enlarged the borders of our settlements, and the mines, as well of iron and coal as of the precious metals, have yielded even more abundantly than heretofore. Population has steadily increased, notwithstanding the waste that has been made in the camp, the siege and the battle-field; and the country, rejoicing in the consciousness of augmented strength and vigor, is permitted to expect continuance of years with large increase of freedom. No human counsel hath devised nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great things. They are the gracious gifts of the Most High God, who, while dealing with us in anger for our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy. It has seemed to me fit and proper that they should be solemnly, reverently and gratefully acknowledged as with one heart and one voice by the whole American People. I do therefore invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next, as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens. And I recommend to them that while offering up the ascriptions justly due to Him for such singular deliverances and blessings, they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to His tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty Hand to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquility and Union.

In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the United States to be affixed.

Done at the City of Washington, this Third day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, and of the Independence of the Unites States the Eighty-eighth.

By the President: Abraham Lincoln

William H. Seward,? Secretary of State

So we went to the Rangers game the other night and took some video footage along the way. Here is a quick video that my wife put together that showcases how funny my son Levi gets when he watches baseball. Enjoy.

Summertime Chillin’

July 10, 20089 Comments

So a lot of people wonder what takes place with our families when we are out of town working.  Where here is a taste.  My 2 1/2 year old boy, Levi, likes to just kick back, relax in the pool with a tall glass of apple juice.  If the occasion calls for it, he may even have some goldfish crackers or grapes.  Life is good in the summertime when Dad is away working hard for the family.

Father Of Three

May 28, 200817 Comments

So when my sister asked if we would mind watching her kids for a few days while her and Nathan left on a trip, we said “No Problem”. I mean, they are older than Levi and can pretty much take care of themselves. It should be easy right? Well I now have a new respect for parents of more than one child. The kids are great and well behaved, I’m just not used to the energy of 3 kids at the same time. Levi (my son) is full tilt on his own when he is awake, but adding two more just like him to the mix is quite more than I’m used to. We’ve had a great time don’t get me wrong, I’m just a bit more on the tired side then I thought I would be. I have two more days left so wish me luck.

So to all of you parents out there with 2 or more kids….. I salute you. (band guys and my sister included)

To Grill or Not to Grill….

May 5, 200825 Comments

Well, if there were two things in my life that I really wanted when I grew up, got married and owned my first house, it was a nice new Grill and a new Riding Lawn Mower. Well, when I did get my first house, the yard was so small I wouldn’t have been able to even turn a riding lawn mower around in it. But I did go by my first big gas grill. $119 at HOME DEPOT. It wasn’t extravagant, but it was gas or charcoal. Well now after 5 years, I have a new house with a bigger yard and riding lawn mower, but my grill has pooped out.

My question to all of you is…. Do I scrap the grill and all the memories attached to it or do I try and fix it? I think I can buy a replacement burner for like $15, but then it might not fit and I might not be smart enough to figure out how to do it. If I decide to buy a new one I know what I want. Its the new Char-Broil Red. Wow, its like the corvette of Grills. It can use propane or convert to natural gas. And to top it all off its Red. Would match the way my wife decorates nicely.

So please weigh in with your thoughts, comments, ideas or otherwise snide remarks and let me know what your thinking. Thanks… and have nice Spring day.
